I am writing you today to tell you about a nurse I encountered during my son's stay at UPMC Mercy. My son was in a motor vehicle accident that left him with extensive life-threatening injuries that required multiple surgeries. After my son's first surgery, he went to the Trauma ICU. During his stay there, he had Bryant as a nurse, and he was phenomenal. He made a difference in my son's care. The level of care & concern and the way he explained everything to us made a frightening experience a lot easier for us to manage. We knew that when Bryant was assigned to our son's care, we did not need to worry. This allowed us to leave the hospital and get some well-needed personal time to do very basic things such as shower and sleep. I know that does not sound like much, but it meant the world to us to know our loved one was well cared for when we were away. I am so grateful that we encounter Bryant; he was an angel sent to us from above.
