Caroline's conduct, manner, and actions consistently displayed the absolute apex of professionalism, coupled with true warmth and compassion.
I was suffering from "horrific" head pains that had started at night and had been going for a couple of days. These pains would start between my eyes; when I coughed or sneezed the pain would then quickly spread over my left eye, then "shoot" back into the left hemisphere of my brain. The pain level was awful! I labeled it a 12 on the spreadsheet index in the ER. People working on me agreed! I would be in the Emergency room and undergo many tests for six hours.
One of the most significant factors in my navigating the terrible ordeal was the outstanding nurse I had in the ER who took such good care of me..Caroline! She acted and treated me in a manner that can only be described as a: "Professionals' Professional" Please understand that I know the nursing profession "first hand." My wife was a registered nurse, and the wife of my oldest brother also was a registered nurse as were two of her daughters. Caroline's conduct, manner, and actions consistently displayed the absolute apex of professionalism, coupled with true warmth and compassion. Caroline always made sure I was warm and comfortable. She knew when I needed pain medication, and she checked with the supervising doctor on duty to make sure I could be administered pain medication. She was also there with the doctor when all the test results were explained to me. Caroline also called my wife at home to alert her that I was ready to be released. Then Caroline got me ready for release and took me to the area where my son could pick me up, take me to the pharmacy, and then take me home.
