God heard this momma's prayers. Nikki is an absolute caring and compassionate nurse. Thank you for being an exceptional nurse to our daughter.
The Patient stated: Nikki was so awesome and helped to see us through some of the most difficult times we had there, prior to being transferred to neuro, ICU, LTAC, and then rehab weeks later. I remember running out that hospital scared and crying. Falling to my knees. Then I saw her, rushing to find me and comfort me. She gave me the biggest hug and reassured me she was there to help and protect me with all that was in her.
We did not see her for some time as we were in the ICU for many weeks. But I remember going downstairs to personally tell her we found the cause of this illness and her saying to me, you were right! The tears we shared and happiness in my heart was a moment to remember. When my daughter was finally well enough to start her first chemotherapy, I prayed to God and asked, "Lord, please send someone who knows what they're doing, someone who has compassion in their heart, and someone who would take good care of our girl." Next thing we knew, Nikki was standing in the doorway of my daughter's ICU room, ready to take good care of her while she administered the chemo. God heard this momma's prayers. She is an absolute caring and compassionate nurse. Thank you for being an exceptional nurse to our daughter. Because of you and what you did, my daughter is able to communicate with you all. We are forever grateful to the many frontline responders as you, Nikki. God bless nurses.
