She began talking to me and wiping my tears.
Unfortunately, my delivery was not going well. My son was very large and he was not moving down the birth canal. The doctors recommended a C-section. A C-section was my greatest fear. I really was trying to avoid it at all costs. But for the sake of the baby, I had to go ahead with it. LeAnn came to give me my epidural medication for my C- section only to be told that they were going to push me later in the day. Firstly, she advocated for me to be moved up on the list so that the medicine was not going to waste. Then when I got into the delivery room she noticed that I was visibly upset and crying. She began talking to me and wiping my tears. She was able to distract me a little bit with everything that was going on. When the C-section began, she gave me updates on what was happening. I was able to ask her questions. And she answered them quickly without making me feel afraid of what was going on. Then she noticed that by the end of the procedure, I was visibly reacting to the pain. She stepped in quickly to give me the medication I needed to complete the procedure, reducing the pain I was experiencing and helping me to relax. I felt that LeAnn saw me and heard my voice and was attentive to my needs in one of the most difficult moments of my life. Thank you Leslie LeAnn.
