I am writing to you as my partner, A, was a patient of yours in March. I brought him to you emergently in the early hours of a Sunday in a great deal of abdominal pain. The experience from the front door until we left was beyond expectations, and I want to thank you from the bottom of our hearts for the compassionate care we both received. We were processed quickly in triage and brought to a room in the ED. 

Every person we encountered tried their best to keep A comfortable and to keep us informed as to what would happen next. He had a CT scan, but they felt an ultrasound was necessary. 

I would like to recognize Bola, RN in the ED. I am a nurse myself, and A told her I was, which I hate because I am not a nurse at that time, I am a concerned family member. All knowledge goes out the window when you are worried and this was not my area of expertise. She explained everything in layman's terms, answered all my questions with unfamiliar pain medications, and checked on him so frequently that I felt as if he was her only patient. She ensured I was comfortable as well, giving me a blanket. She tried to manage his pain, and escalated concerns when we saw changes in his pain and vital signs and belly distention. She was simply amazing and we are forever grateful.
