I trusted them and they made me feel truly cared for.
Breaking my jaw was my first significant injury requiring extended care from a nurse. When I got under the care of this nurse I had already had interactions with many nurses during the admittance process. They were all kind and did their job. However, it wasn’t my nurse’s kindness that enabled their true passion for their job that is their strength and thus, gave me strength during my stay. They displayed full knowledge of all aspects of their job, and you can feel that they truly care about their patients. Not only did they exhibit, this knowledge consistently, they also took the time to share this knowledge with the other nurses that were assigned to other shifts effectively improving my care when they were absent. Everyone knows nursing is a tough job, especially during the current times. My nurse found a way to balance all the different demands their job brings in a way that has enabled them to maintain genuine care that goes beyond getting the job done. I felt this indirectly. I trusted them and they made me feel truly cared for. I believe they have found a way to care for every patient regardless because of their balance and genuineness. I would like to say thank you to my nurse and their care.
