My mom has been a patient at CRMC now for several years. She has always received quality care with her complex medical history. Our family is grateful for the care and compassion she has been shown. Because of the recent decline in health in the last year, my mom and family have needed extra guidance, attention, and support from professionals because of her medical situation.

Insert Mrs. Dena from Dr. B's office. Dena went above and beyond as a professional nurse. She was not only there for my mom in her most difficult moments but also for us family members as we decided what the next best steps were for my mom. Dena was professional and compassionate with her words and actions. At times my sister and I would cry to Dena coming to reality with the changing of our mom and the next steps we had to take. She took time out of her busy schedule to sit with us or have a phone conversation as things arose. Dena brought hope and a new perspective to our family when we needed it the most. At one of my mom's last appointments, my mom was at her worst. My mom was exhausted. We were exhausted. Dr. B just finished with a draining appointment, or what felt draining to me, and in came Dena at the end. It could have been a very awkward moment, but Dena took the initiative, and care, to confront my mom. She gave my mom the pep talk that she needed to hear at that moment! Dena spoke with pep, sympathy, and understanding.

For months we could not speak my mom's language ... and she did it in 5 minutes. And probably leaving her late for her next patient. Sorry about that. So here is the update ... the combination of med changes from Dr. B and Dena's impromptu go get em' speech, changed my mom's perspective, and because of that, it has relieved the unwanted stress in our family. Our family looks forward to continuing to work with Dena and Dr. B. They make a fantastic team! Forever grateful.
