I considered her an angel that morning. I was praying for help, and God put her in our room.
Words will never express the way Lisabeth cared for my mother during her stay following back surgery. She was so caring and had so much compassion for my mom and me. I remember one morning I was crying when she entered the room. I thought my mother had a stroke in the night because she wouldn't respond to me, and her eyes were just staring into space and glassy. Mom had messed up her bed and was laying on dirty sheets. I was trying to get mom up so I could change the sheets. I was struggling with her and myself. This sweet and precious nurse, Lisabeth, helped me get her up and sit her in a chair. Then she went and got a pan of warm, soapy water and bath cloths. She started washing mom, pulling her gown off, stimulating her, talking to her, and helping me with clean sheets. Mother was okay. We believe it was the pain medicine that made her act this way. I considered her an angel that morning. I was praying for help, and God put her in our room. This might be little to some people but to me, it was huge. She did all her nursing with a smile and kind words. Lisabeth has a heart for her patients.
