Jill worked diligently to coordinate resources so that a young cancer patient (and father of 4) could get home hospice care. The normal processes that are in place to assist with this type of placement during the week are not always available on the weekend, but that didn't stop Jill from doing everything she could to honor the patient's wishes to die at home. Jill’s compassionate care for not only the patient, but the entire family and her tireless determination to honor the patient's wishes are truly extraordinary! The wife sent a letter to the unit regarding her experience:

My number one thing was to do right by my husband. We talked many times about end of life and what he wanted that to look like. To pass at home!! You did that. You comforted all of us. You treated us like we were your family! My husband passed with hospice; thank you from the bottom of our hearts. You gave us the strength to go on and get him settled.

The wife also sent a copy of a heartfelt letter she received from Jill. She said it made her day.
