I do not have a specific situation or story that can amount to what a difference Margaret has made in my time at CTCA; she constantly delivers outstanding professionalism and patient care. She strives to not only fulfill the needs of her patients but of her team; Margaret is a wonderful leader and an example of what "teamwork makes the dream work" is all about. Her conscientiousness and proactive thinking such as restocking supplies and being readily available/nearby to assist me, eases workflow and makes me evermore grateful to work under her. Still, it's the simple things I admire most about Margaret, like how she provides patients with small towels to be used as improvised eye masks before turning on a bright light to perform hourly Doppler checks; or taking a patient's vital signs while she is still in the room to minimize my need to reawaken the patient. This kind of thoughtfulness and level of compassion cannot be taught in a textbook; it's found in nurses who demonstrate extraordinary dedication to their work and a basic sense of compassion and empathy.
