Kali took care of our baby girl in the NICU. Our baby girl was born at 38 weeks and had fluid in her lungs so she was taken to the NICU. When my husband and I showed up that morning for her scheduled C-section, the possibility of her having to go to the NICU wasn’t even on our mind so when we heard them talking on the other side of that blue sheet our hearts dropped. It happened so fast we were left with so many questions and worries about our new baby but Kali helped us and kept us calm every time she was there! I know Kali had so many things going on at one time but she took care of my baby the way I would take care of my baby! Kali really advocated for our baby’s comfort and needs and kept us updated at all times. I can’t imagine how hard her job must be but I do know one thing, she made it feel like it wasn’t just a nurse taking care of a patient but a friend we trusted with our baby.
