As a nurse it is hard to come in on the other side as a patient. When I went to Wound Care I was very stressed because I had a surgical wound that I felt I caused by wearing a binder to tight. The first person I saw was Greg Bailey. He showed great compassion by first picking at me in a nice way to try and cheer me up. Then he said, “I think we can do something to help you.” Which they did and it was a great relief. Greg works well as a team member in Wound Care and collaborates with other coworkers and doctors. He talked to me about another area of my wound that I thought would be ok. He stepped up and talked to me and said it needs treating as well. “Let us help you with this.” I am glad he did this because I was not myself and very stressed over everything I have been through. As Greg entered other patient rooms I could tell how much respect and compassion he shows to the patients in such a caring way. He even tells them he will be praying for them.
