Tori is very compassionate and kind to her patients but what they don’t see is how she obsesses over their orders, their meds, makes phone calls every day to advocate for them when no one is looking.
Tori has shown time and time again she goes above and beyond for her patients. Tori is known for her big, beautiful, bright personality and she always come to work in a great mood and no matter what the day throws at her, she stays positive and eager and willing to take on any new task. Her enthusiasm is contagious and you can’t help but smile when she is working. She is a great team player and is always helping her coworkers with their patients even when she barely has had time to sit down herself. She even works as a cheerleader and recruits other nurses so busy tasks are done together.
I have never heard the word "No" come out of her mouth. During our tough times when we had low staff, she continued to sign up for extra on the floor to help. Tori is very compassionate and kind to her patients but what they don’t see is how she obsesses over their orders, their meds, makes phone calls every day to advocate for them when no one is looking. I remember a nighshift when she called Pharmacy and caught a mistake with IVIG a patient was getting and prevented any further mistakes from happening. She contacted everyone she knew to handle the situation when she knew in her gut something was not right. She has also taken care of two end of life patients.
When she was assigned the first child, she stated, “I want to give this mom and her The World!” And the World she did provide. The patient passed on her nightshift and she went so peacefully that the mom made sure to thank her and say, “It went just how I would have wanted.” She is so loved by the families that she takes care of that within two weeks another end of life patient’s family requested that she be their nighttime nurse. I can’t think of any bigger compliment that she be requested during someone’s hardest time of their life. I know those families are thankful for her beauty both inside and out and all the love and comfort she provides. And I am thankful I get to work along side someone so compassionate, bright, and genuine. Please continue to be the bright shiny start you are because you are very much loved and appreciated.
