Tracy was not working at the center when I first started going there. After her arrival, Tracy became my regular nurse, every Monday and Thursday to check blood levels and transfuse as required. Then also with daily wound care later. She was gentle with me because of the number of transfusions and IVs I’ve had. My veins are very beat up. I’ve required so many blood product transfusions. I opted to get a port installed because of how beat up my veins are. All was going fine for 3 weeks. Tracy noticed the port didn’t look right and immediately alerted my doctor. After examination surgeons were called to remove the port. I was in the hospital for 8 days while checking for more infections. None was found. If an infection had gotten into my blood, I may not be here to write this.

In closing, Tracy is not only a DAISY Nurse for being a gentle, knowledgeable, and alert caretaker but for saving my life. I’ll always be grateful for her care. I’d like to add all the nurses on this unit have taken great care of me. Thank You!
