A patient family member called to thank the nurse, Michelle McKee, that took care of her sister. The patient was admitted through the Emergency Department. The family member stated that her sister had several nurses, but the one that took the best care of her was Michelle McKee. The family member stated that Michelle kept her well-informed of her sister’s status, even when the physician did not. Michelle even stayed over to make sure her sister was taken care of properly and was comfortable. The family member stated she normally was not comfortable leaving her sister, but when Michelle was there she felt very comfortable to go home and rest and take a shower. Michelle would even insist she go home and rest. The family member was very thankful for the care her sister received from Michelle.
