After serving 27 years in the emergency department, Wendy joined the rapid response team in the fall of 2021. She has brought an incredible amount of experience to the new department. Wendy always goes above and beyond the call of duty. I cannot choose only one instance where Wendy's dedication and performance made a difference in a patient's or co-worker's life because there are so many.

Wendy not only continues to support our nurses and patients house-wide as a rapid response nurse, she frequently assists our extremely busy emergency department when she isn't on a rapid call or a rapid round. She transports critical patients from ED to ICU to assist with throughput and help her ED teammates out. She consistently covers for her rapid response team members as we have had some schedule changes with COVID infections. She is a team player 150% and deserves gratitude, appreciation, and acknowledgment. Thank you Wendy for being one of the best of the BEST!
