When we first got to the NICU we were unsure of what to expect, but after a few days of being there, we noticed that there were scrapbook pages on the wall with our baby’s pictures and what he was up to in the NICU. Example: Our baby had to be under the clie lights and there was a fun craft made regarding that. It was so fun to walk into the room and see a new craft on the wall. It's fun to look back at those pages now that we are home and remember what we all had been through in the NICU.

Britta always has such a positive attitude. The NICU can be such a scary place for parents and she was always so respectful with us as new parents and helped us learn about our preemie baby as we went! She always answered our questions and listened to our concerns.

Britta demonstrated each of (Essentia Health's) values on a daily basis, whether it be with us as patients or her staff. It's hard to put into words but she truly enjoys what she does and her work shows that. She has a huge heart for the babies and also the parents.

She helped us each day get through our journey! Each day we left the NICU and we knew that we could trust Britta with our baby. As hard as it was to leave, we knew he was in good hands. Britta always brought a smile to our room. She made the NICU a lot less stressful for us as she was always smiling and bringing joy to our room which put us at ease. She always made sure we were doing okay and always put our concerns first. You could tell by the way she worked and cared for her patients that she truly loves what she does and we are so thankful we received care from her as our nurse! Britta always showed just how compassionate she was about her job! We were so lucky to have not only Britta but the entire NICU team help us through our NICU journey! Thanks for all you nurses do!
