On a daily basis Nikki exhibits the Kettering Health values of caring, compassion, and competence. She gets very involved with her patients and goes beyond in care. One instance she went beyond, we had a homeless patient with a therapy dog. Nikki advocated for her so her dog could stay with her during her hospital stay. The patient was on a list for housing but was 90th on the list. Nikki made a phone call and explained the situation of her patient and her diagnosis and got her moved up on the list. She now has housing waiting for her. If it did not work out that her dog could stay with her, Nikki found someone who was willing to care for her dog. Nikki definitely lives our mission and treats her patients with kindness and understanding. We are proud to have her as part of the team.
