Sue is the definition of excellence, quality care, and service that is delivered with respect and compassion.
Sue goes above and beyond each and every day to make sure our patient needs and those of their families are met. Whether she is working in the clinic checking their cardiac devices, or remotely from home to monitor their transmissions, Sue makes sure every family is confident they are part of our device team. Sue has been instrumental in developing this device clinic, and has been generously teaching and sharing her years of device training with us.

Sue comes in early, leaves late, and works through lunch to make sure each patient gets as much time as they need to understand their device. One of our pacemaker patients was recently instructed to start a medication that had a side effect of possible QT prolongation. Sue quickly called the patient and reviewed with him the necessary steps to start this medication safely, what side effects to report if they occur, and how to make sure he follows through with monitoring this possible side effect. The patient was very thankful and now feels confident in the communication between his PCP, cardiologist, and device team.

Sue always comes to work with a positive, can-do attitude which helps to keep morale up. She is a valuable employee, teammate, and provider in Cardiology who spends time reaching out to help our patients, which in turn helps patient satisfaction scores. Sue is the definition of excellence, quality care, and service that is delivered with respect and compassion.
