Dana held my hand, soothed me, listened to me, and even cried with me.
I was admitted to L&D to go through a C-section due to fetal demise at full term. I was completely heartbroken and vulnerable. Dana was assigned to me at the darkest time of my life. She was kind, considerate, and very attentive. I was overcome with grief and constantly cried for my baby. Dana held my hand, soothed me, listened to me, and even cried with me. She understood my need to just pour my heart out so the healing can begin. She talked about the importance of seeking grief counseling and how it can help me manage my grief and emotions. I have since taken her advice and counseling is helping me talk about my grief and understand how life grows around it. This was my first hospital stay and I didn't know what to expect from the nurses. Dana's demeanor made me realize how noble this profession is and that it cannot be just 'work' but a passion to care for and look after others. She deserves all the accolades and blessings in life.
