The kindness and devotion that Angela gave to us will forever be in my son's birth story. It all started with her and her care.
A week before my due date, I went to the hospital for contractions and other pain I was having to get checked. My husband and I met Angela. Angela immediately put my worries at ease and it was like speaking to an old friend. She explained in detail everything that was going on, what tests they were running, what usually happens if I were going to be admitted, etc. She was very detail-oriented and I appreciated that. She made sure my husband was as comfortable as possible.
The next morning, I was sent home. The next evening, still in so much pain, I went back to the hospital and I saw Angela again. We figured I would be admitted so I could have my baby, but I was sent home the next morning. The kindness and devotion that Angela gave to us will forever be in my son's birth story. It all started with her and her care.
The following week, my due date, I went back to the hospital and was admitted, on my way to having our baby boy. We had Angela again as our nurse that evening. She told the doctor this was the third time coming in for contractions and that I had to finally have the baby. There was no point in sending me home since I reached my due date. We felt like family now at this point. Angela was truly diligent in making sure my baby was okay while being monitored. She came in anytime there was an alert to make sure we both were doing well. She left the next morning after her shift. She was there from helping me push until she pushed me into my room in the maternity ward. She went above and beyond for my husband, myself, and our baby.
These nurses take care of their patients like they are taking care of a loved one and for that, I will be forever thankful. I witnessed these nurses doing more than the doctors and making us all feel comfortable and giving us anything that we may need or want. They are truly all guardian angels.
