After early dilation at 31.5 weeks, I spent extra time on the Maternity ward for monitoring and then induction lasting 2 days, which had me spending more time on the unit. Lauren was amazing at making me feel at ease. It was a stressful situation and she made every visit easier. She went above and beyond to make me feel comfortable and understand when things went not as planned, she was there to help and help me regain strength in what we were going to accomplish. During my 2 day induction, both times it came to the end of her shift, things changed. The first night the baby's heart rate dropped and we had to stop contractions and try different positions. She stayed through to make sure I was supported and made me feel important and heard. The second night when she returned, and it was again time for her to leave, my beautiful daughter was being born, she again stayed through the shift change to make sure we were all right. Lauren's entire personality and light helped to put me at ease from the first meeting and I am so happy she was there to help me through delivery. She made a difficult moment easier.
