Gabby showed the most compassion to my situation as she knew how hard it was for us to conceive our child and how important it was that she survived.
At 27 weeks and two days I was scheduled for a detailed ultrasound. Unknown to us our baby was soon to make a very early arrival. Gabby was our nurse on the labor and delivery floor. Gabby not only demonstrated great bedside manner but an extraordinary connection with myself and other patient she was dealing with. Gabby always made sure that I was okay comfortable and that my baby was safe. At 3 AM, Gabby came into my room and informed me that they thought it would be best to take the baby due to her having a better survival rate outside than inside. I cried to Gabby for hours as we waited for prep in the OR room and for family to arrive. Gabby showed the most compassion to my situation as she knew how hard it was for us to conceive our child and how important it was that she survived.

Gabby never left my side once she was there when I went in to have a C-section and was there when I came out of my C-section. She followed my boyfriend to the NICU checked on him and his well-being throughout that morning and made sure that the whole time before during and after we were okay. Once I have been moved off of her floor and the baby had come, Gabby came to check on me and the baby numerous times. My daughter is still currently in the NICU as she was born 12 weeks early and to this day Gabby still goes and checks on our daughter. She leaves us the most beautiful hand written notes and always stops and speaks and hugs me when she sees me. I honestly do not think that I would’ve been able to go through all of that without her by my side. Over the course of 24 hours we went from a normal ultrasound to the birth of our child and Gabby was one of the most strongest support Person that I could’ve asked for. I am beyond thankful for her.
