I have been a patient multiple times in the last few months. It has been a scary time in my life. Each time I have gone to the emergency department prior to being admitted, Kaysie has taken care of me many times during my visits. She goes above and beyond each time I am there to make sure I am informed and comfortable. Her care stretches outside of the emergency department and she assists in my care on the floor as well. She comes to check on me and she knows that I am hard to start IVs on. She has offered to come and start my IVs no matter what floor I am on. She has kept this promise and each time I am there the nurses call to see if she is working if I need a new IV. Without fail she comes each time they call. She brings the ultrasound machine and takes her time to ensure that I am comfortable and looks for a long time before sticking. She does this to make sure I am not stuck multiple times. Her compassion is amazing and I am so lucky to have her as part of my care team. Not only does she come and start the IV she makes sure there is nothing else I need before leaving and takes care of anything she can prior to going back to the ED. The nurses on the floor compliment her on being a team player and appreciate her help as much as I do!
