Amanda was absolutely incredible while we were at Riley. We had several amazing nurses throughout our stay and are always beyond impressed with Riley in general, but Amanda was on another level of excellence. She was training a new nurse for the beginning of her shift with us and she was taking the time to show her everything she needed to know, as you would expect, but that didn't stop her from also thoroughly explaining things to us as well. She made sure that we fully understood what was happening, why it was happening, and answered all of our questions.

Our six-month-old daughter had just had open heart surgery and she was still struggling with recovery when Amanda was there. It was such an amazing help and relief to have Amanda not just thoroughly caring for our daughter and running in without pause at the slightest alarm, but also genuinely listened to our concerns and worked to find a solution or an answer to the problem. She is such a kind and intelligent nurse and I wanted to be sure that she is recognized as such. You can tell from the moment she steps into the room that she loves her job and she had the same smile on her face and an ambitious attitude throughout her entire shift. Riley is so lucky to have her and so are all the kids she works with.
