I am a contracted travel RN assigned to the Medical-Surgical floor D6. I started my contract in the middle of March 2022 and I have met some amazing nurses on my journey here at Geisinger, Scranton. The entire staff of D6 here at GCMC exemplifies Geisinger’s mission and values of kindness, excellence, safety, learning, and innovation. As a travel RN, I have a different and unique perspective looking in on this unit. I have only positive experiences with the entire staff as well as the patients. It truly, “takes a village” and the entire team is nothing short of exceptional. From the nursing aids, sitters, nutrition, environmental services, PT/OT, and all the nurses the whole floor works extremely hard to better their patients and provide extraordinary patient care. I would like to nominate all the nurses and nursing assistants on D6 and thank each and every one of them for helping to inspire me every day.
