Sarah is a true testament to an excellent nurse educator; she challenges each one of her students and is not afraid to push them to their fullest potential. I had the honor of having Sarah as both my senior 402 concepts clinical instructor and my senior 405 leadership clinical instructor.

During my first semester with Sarah as an instructor, I found myself challenged by her as she had constructive comments about all of my work and urged me to think outside of the box when it came to caring for my patients. Still, I came to clinical each and every week, eager for the information that Sarah was going to teach us.

As I transitioned into my last semester, I came to learn that the challenge from Sarah is what I needed as a student in order to increase my critical thinking and gain confidence in my abilities as a nurse.

Sarah is incredibly passionate about teaching. If she doesn’t know something, she will investigate thoroughly to ensure her students get an answer. She does an excellent job of explaining concepts and going the extra mile for her students. As a senior clinical educator, Sarah sets the bar high for her students and ensures they are well prepared to enter their nursing careers.
