Our son was moved to this floor after open heart surgery. I was so anxious, afraid, and terrified to be left alone with him and for something to go wrong. Jordanna took every measure possible to provide me with comfort. She explained what each cord was and what everything on the monitor meant. She assured me I wasn’t alone and that she was just on the other side of the door. She told me how there was always a nurse watching the monitors and told me to never hesitate to press our call button or poke our head out the door and that’d she’d be right in. She was so genuine and gentle with our son. She talked to him about his interests. She assured me it was okay for me to get some sleep (I had been afraid to even take my eyes off him) and that she had it from here. She was the BEST nurse we have ever had! We only got to experience her for one night but I feel like in just that one night there was a bond created that I will forever cherish. I am so grateful for her. She went above and beyond and cared for my son like he was her own. She truly is an angel on earth!
