My partner, J, has been in the hospital for over three weeks. He is very ill and with Emily’s help, phoned me this morning asking me to come to the hospital as he was having a very tough morning. When I went to the hospital floor thirty minutes later, Emily immediately greeted me and informed me of the action she had taken to help alleviate J's pain. She also offered him a recliner and a bed extension as he has been very cramped for days lying in the same bed. She made him a shake when he couldn't tolerate food so he could have some nutrition and J said it tasted good!

Emily struck me with her professionalism. She made me feel that I was important to J's care and she was ever present and more than willing to get J whatever he needed. This attention and positive attitude shown by Emily helped, not only to comfort me and help alleviate my worry and concern but by the afternoon J was in a much better place.

I also very much appreciated the time Emily took to give me advice regarding J's need to follow up with rehab and what kind of markers we should look for as he recovers. She truly is a peach! I feel very fortunate that J received such excellent care and feel confident that other patients and their family members will feel reassured having her as their nurse. Please thank Emily for me as she is making a difference in people's lives by making their hospital stay as comfortable as possible. Throughout the day, Emily actively listened to J and showed genuine empathy for what he has gone through.
