"During report to the ANM, Carrie mentioned one of her patients was having many anxiety attacks. She told the ANM that she keeps a supply of the stick-on nails she sells on the side in her locker and “does” the nails of her anxious patients. She said it always works like a charm. In this case, she said the patient went from having a very high level of anxiety to being much calmer and even ready to look at discharging home. Carrie consistently models nursing excellence, utilizes excellent critical thinking, and looks at the whole patient and whole picture of what is going on. She maintains good interdisciplinary relationships and is trusted by those she works with. She is also very clinically strong and utilizes her extensive clinical experience to ensure the safety and care of her patients.”
