Nathan ensured that my mother moved from the bed to the chair and/or sat up and dangled her legs from the bedside at once daily.
My mom has been in and out of the hospital and rehab since this year. We met Nathan during mom’s last hospital stay. I was impressed by his commitment to ensuring that my mom got out of bed and moved around every day. As you know, OT/PT is not offered on a daily basis in the hospital. We were concerned that my mother might lose all forward progress she achieved with OT/PT in rehab if someone didn’t help her get out of bed to move. Nathan ensured that my mother moved from the bed to the chair and/or sat up and dangled her legs from the bedside at once daily. Nathan did this on his own, without us having to ask him. He truly made a difference in my mother’s continued recovery. When my mother returned to the rehab facility, they were happy to see that she had maintained most of the strength and mobility that she had previously gained, all because of Nathan’s excellent nursing care. We are thankful for Nathan and his role in my mother’s healing. Nurses are truly the heart of healthcare! Thanks, Nathan!
