Mandy exceeded my expectations again making me feel very comfortable throughout the entire visit.
I have been seen at the OKC VAHCS for several years. I recently was scheduled to be seen for a hearing test at the Yukon Clinic. I have complained of hearing loss for many years but felt like this was just how it would be. I was not sure what to expect or how things would go. I was instantly greeted and taken care of b yMandy. She was friendly and welcomed me with a smile and a positive attitude. Not only did she immediately make me feel welcomed and comfortable, but she also eased my anxiety of the unknown. She went above and beyond to thoroughly explain how the visit would go and what the process would be. She was extremely professional, compassionate, and empathetic to my every question and concern. She conducted my visit with the audiologist via the computer and kept me informed during every step of the process. They both worked together seamlessly throughout the visit to ensure my questions were answered and I was cared for.
I completed my hearing test during that visit, and they reviewed my past hearing tests which determined that I would in fact need hearing aids. I then had to be fitted for hearing aids. She was very helpful and informative throughout this entire process. Her delivery of care and attitude truly exemplified the type of nurse she was, and her passion shined through her every action. Before I left that day, she scheduled me for a follow up appointment to receive my hearing aids. At the end of the visit, I left pleasantly surprised by the care I had received but thought maybe it was a fluke and that the nurse was just having a good day. I sure didn’t expect to receive the same type of care again.
I recently had my follow-up appointment with Mandy and the audiologist to receive my hearing aids. Again, at this visit I was met with her friendly smile and her positive and professional demeanor. Mandy exceeded my expectations again making me feel very comfortable throughout the entire visit. She was very knowledgeable and informative ensuring that my every question and concern were addressed. She even provided me with information that I didn’t even realize I would need. I can say for once I had received an information overload about my care, but in a positive manner. She was extremely compassionate and empathetic throughout both visits. When this visit came to an end, I was able to hear things that I didn’t realize I had missed for so many years. This left me feeling joyful while also restoring my faith in the care being provided at the VA. This nurse was the Best!
The following day after getting home with my new hearing aids I had questions and needed assistance. Mandy was not only available to help me, but she walked me through all my questions over the phone. She truly went above and beyond to provide the best and most thorough care possible! This left me feeling extremely happy and thankful to have been cared for by this nurse. It was confirmed to me that this nurse truly cared for her patients and was passionate about providing excellent care. I am extremely thankful for all of her assistance!
