Eileen is an exceptional nurse who goes above and beyond for our stroke patients in the middle of an acute stroke call. Eileen has superior critical thinking and problem-solving skills. Her ability to delve into details and her commitment to whatever work she is granted truly deserve praise.

Eileen was very effective with a patient who received both tPA and intra-arterial thrombectomy recently. The patient was a young 34-year-old, who was afraid as she was having left-sided weakness, and quite upset that she was not able to care for her children. Eileen was so effective in communicating and comforting this patient and she earned this patient’s trust and respect, which made the patient feel so at ease going through the procedure. The patient went into the cath lab with such strength after her interaction with Eileen.

Eileen’s work ethic, when it comes to patients, is so commendable. Her positive attitude is demonstrated by her smile, which brings a smile to even the most fragile patients. Eileen is such a compassionate individual who truly deserves this award.
