What a great way to start the healing process, knowing that partnership in care was there.
Jaimie on the 7Central (7CE) team is a rock star! She stated her goal of helping me get released the day after surgery, as predicted, and would do her very best to ensure that even (kiddingly) offering to drive me home if necessary! What a great way to start the healing process, knowing that partnership in care was there.

As the day progressed, the bladder didn't respond well, causing some concern. Jaimie encouraged walking to get systems up and working. The day continued and still no response. Jaimie indicated that the usual process was to insert a catheter to resolve the matter (which would certainly cause delays and significant discomfort). Before that action, she provided a larger saline drip and encouraged further walking to get the systems working. A cumulative 3-mile walk during the day on the 7th floor and the saline did the trick, with bladder function evident by the time Jaimie’s shift ended at 7:30.

No, she didn't drive me home, but she did drive me to heal, supported by her intense understanding of what mattered to me and the concern she showed by being my "partner" in the healing process. It's great when you know someone is "on your side" and that was my experience with her.
