She grabbed a chair, sat right next to me, held my hand, and began to tell me a story about herself that comforted me and made me feel safer, stronger, and important.
Rose came into my room one night (my first night) and I was having a very emotional panic attack and was crying under my covers. She came into my room and instead of walking out and leaving me be, she kindly went out of her way and quietly and calmly sat down and said “I just want you to know that I’m not going to leave you and you’re not alone. I’m going to be right here if you need to talk”. I can’t describe what that meant to me. That’s someone that cares with their soul. I wasn’t a patient after that, I was a person with feelings. I was traumatized, in severe pain, away from home, and as high as I could get on my anxiety scale. She grabbed a chair, sat right next to me, held my hand, and began to tell me a story about herself that comforted me and made me feel safer, stronger, and important. Rose deserves recognition for going above and beyond. She didn’t leave me until I was ok. I love her soul and I wish her so much love and kindness. Her heart is the kindest and purest. I will forever be grateful for her.
