Kaitlin was my nurse during the depths of my stem cell transplant. She not only performed her assigned duties with attention to detail and accuracy, but went above and beyond to make sure I was as comfortable as possible in the moment by getting approval to increase my pain pump, adding a scope patch to help with my mucous secretions, and doing my CHG wipes for me when I was too weak. Kaitlin never made me feel like I was losing my dignity and truly helped me in my hardest times. Her energy is incredible, soft, and caring. She would crouch next to my bed when talking to me and truly listened to my complaints to make sure she could do everything in her power to make me feel better. Once my counts started going up, she was there at 2 am celebrating with me. Kaitlin felt like family when she took care of me and I’m forever grateful to her.
