In addition to performing her job at an exemplary level, she demonstrates an extraordinary commitment to our patients. She takes it upon herself to provide exceptional care to our patients with “Hi I am Mary and I get to be your nurse today”. She then goes on to tell the patient “I have read your chart and it looks like we are going to do this today. Is that right? I have overheard her tell patients “These are your premeds; this one's for nausea and this one is for something else.” She goes above telling patients the names of the medication they are getting and why they are getting it. Mary is the kind of person who gives to give. She makes being a nurse look very easy. Mary is helpful, caring, resourceful, and happy to offer help no matter the job. She performs above and beyond, and she does so willingly and cheerfully. Her quick wit and attention to detail have made our patients feel comfortable with their care at a clinic. Mary is always willing to pitch in for the good of our clinic. Mary has made a difference in our clinic with her positivity. Her skills, knowledge and willingness to help others, and dedication to our clinic, to our staff, and to our patients makes her a great person and a true DAISY Nurse.
