She purposefully demonstrates trust, compassion, and mutual respect to her team and other teams.
Tana has demonstrated personal and professional growth not only as a wound and ostomy nurse but also as a leader. She purposefully demonstrates trust, compassion, and mutual respect to her team and other teams.

As a dedicated leader Tana has motivated her team with her charismatic and transformational leadership. She has not only supported certifications and professional growth but has escalated her and her team’s role as educators. In the last year, she has developed the Wound and Ostomy Google site as a reference and education tool for staff. The site offers tools and videos on how to use new wound and Ostomy supplies and perform dressings. After her site visit to Lutheran and Good Sam’s the wound specialists and teams have asked to use the Google site for their sites. She has also published a quarterly newsletter for staff and initiated a case review presentation for the monthly hospital PG.

Tana has also led her team in completing 40 chart reviews a month. Tana has led her team in performing not only at the top of their license as nurses and CNAs but also at the top of their specialization in wound and ostomy care. Tana has always shared her vision with her team which has led to a unified team in consistently performing its best. I believe that with Tana’s leadership the wound and ostomy team would continue to shine in our hospital, the system, the region, and the community. Thank you, Tana!
