Caroline was my mother's nurse for two very important days. Although the entire 4th floor south staff was wonderful, I believe Caroline was a catalyst in my mother's recovery. She was her nurse the day 'things turned around for the better; basically from non-responsive to sitting up in bed and able to utter some words. I know there are a lot of things that go into recovery and a lot of teams but I believe the two biggest reasons for mom's 24-hour turnaround were God and Caroline. She provided excellent patient care and much-needed advocacy to a patient with no voice. She reviewed her chart and worked with doctors to get clarity on an MRI (given a previous procedure my mom had just had). She listened to our questions and facilitated needed approvals with Doctors. I could tell she was being pulled in many directions but always had a pleasant smile, calm demeanor, and time for us. She is definitely a shining star at Liberty Hospital! Thank you Caroline for being such a rock star.
