I've never encountered anyone in this field who GENUINELY cares about what happens to you.
I had gotten really sick and found out I had HIV. I became very depressed and also attempted suicide. My attitude was horrible because I couldn't believe this was my life. Jonah never gave up on me. He would text me regularly with little pictures that would brighten my day. Anytime something needed to get done he would make sure I got in touch with whoever could help. Now I've gained weight and I am also in very good head space and to be sure, I owe a lot of my success to him. He helped me get a medical team together that I'm proud to go see. I've never encountered anyone in this field who GENUINELY cares about what happens to you. He's even gone as far as to ask me if I would be willing to speak to some people in my shoes. It hasn't happened yet, but just off of the love and compassion and the way he helped me I would be honored to help show others--especially my fellow people of color, that people like him exist and it's ok to let them in. I stay an hour and a half away from the center and because of him, I decided to keep my care there and make the drive.
