I would like to offer my personal and professional commendations to Frechell Garcia, RN, for the outstanding and professional behavior she exhibited recently. Frechell was called upon by me to take care of a very critically ill post-operative patient in the Intensive Care Unit. When the patient's admission to the ICU was delayed Frechell was asked to accompany her patient in the Post Anesthesia Care Unit, which she gladly did. In addition, she stayed with her patient even when her patient had to return to the Operating Room late at night, assisting the surgeons and anesthesiologists as they worked to stabilize the patient. When the patient was finally brought back to the ICU, still very unstable, Frechell continued to stay constantly at her side throughout the night. I was pleased and honored to have been able to assist Frechell during this time and wish that all the ICU Registered Nurses could learn from her exemplary behavior and professionalism.
