"From the moment we met Lauren she was so kind. I knew my daughter was going to be loved on.” During her time in the hospital, the girl’s lungs collapsed while on a ventilator, and she was being put on an oscillator. Her mother describes this experience as one of the scariest moments of her life. “Lauren walks in for her shift and I felt so relieved knowing she was going to be my daughter’s nurse for the day.” Even though her patient was sedated on the ventilator, Lauren brightened up the little girl’s room by decorating it with pictures of her favorite TV shows. “It was such a simple thing but was so thoughtful. Lauren laughed with me, cried with me, hugged me, and loved on me and our girl. The way she looked at my sweet girl and held her hand and sang to her...she really cared about her. All of our nurses were phenomenal, but there was something special about Lauren. Every time I talk about her, I cry remembering how she loved on my daughter and us."
