But please, please, please let that beautiful, mothering Mrs. Cynthia know she and her words fought off my depression more than once and kept me from losing my mind completely.
I came into Mercy hospital very sick from wounds on my rear end that went septic. To say the least, I was unknowingly very rude to Mrs. Cynthia and just about everybody else working for the first couple days after I was admitted. I began to feel better and became very remorseful for how I’d heard I spoke to everyone. Mrs. Cynthia received the first apology and simply said, “Boy you were very sick and that is why the ER admitted you. Everybody working in this field of work knows and sees the situation, is or should know to go off of making you feel better." She accepted my apology by making sure I knew and felt that there was no need for one to her.

By that time, others told me some of the stuff I blurted out, especially to her but even more where telling how she was going around vouching for me as one of the coolest people ever! No one could have been able to predict I would be here seven weeks now and will finally be leaving tomorrow. A nurse told me about this form and once I got my fingers on it, I filled it out for Mrs. Cynthia. If being 100% honest that stands out for me like a giant in a photo full of nice sized people….I’ll be putting several names on a “You make a difference form." But please, please, please let that beautiful, mothering Mrs. Cynthia know she and her words fought off my depression more than once and kept me from losing my mind completely. It’s just this way of not how she’s say something encouraging, but what she said or then not what she said, but how she said it. When it’s the second one, intense laughter, along with a boost of self-esteem makes you feel like she somehow knew exactly what you needed to hear and when. I’ll forever remember her above everyone else. For that please tell her “I love her” for the person she was for me and thank you!
