Kendra was our dad’s nurse after he fell at home and broke his pelvis. Once an active and independent man, now was confined to a hospital bed with new health issues on top of the fracture. This was difficult for us as his family to watch his decline, and we had to make some extremely hard end-of-life decisions. Through it all Kendra was there loving on us and helping us navigate through those difficult decisions. As well as taking care of our dad and treating him like her own grandfather. During his week-long stay on her floor, Kendra would come to check on us and daddy even if she didn’t have him as her patient during that shift. Kendra exemplified extraordinary compassion, courage, and integrity as she provided care for our dad. We would like to thank her for that and say that we truly appreciate her for all she did for us and our dad.
