I was transferred up from the ER. A recovering cancer patient, I had multiple serious hot flashes and accompanying periods of delirium since my surgeries and immunotherapy. The doctors could not figure out why. After my latest spell, I was sent to the ER and then to 9-Center. I was given an MRI, and an EEG and had many other tests, all inconclusive or negative. Doctors were getting ready to send me home with no diagnosis. While Ryan was in my room, I began another hot flash. Ryan gave me a glucose test and it was at 40. He immediately gave me glucose tabs and drinks to get me back to normal. He then sent a message to others about his finding. Doctors were skeptical but ordered more tests. The result was hypoglycemia as Ryan suspected. I am entirely delighted that Ryan was able to clearly see what others had not. I am on the way to healing and am very glad about how this worked out.
