This is a story about Team Work and a coworker seeing your stress and providing help to ease your day. I started here at Providence in November of last year. It was one of the best decisions I've ever made. Part of Case Management is about finding resources for patients and also being an advocate. I love my job but sometimes it can be tedious and difficult. Monica saw my stress dealing with a particular family and I was juggling several cases that also needed immediate attention to get them discharged with appropriate resources. Monica stepped right in and asked, "how can I help you?" She took over 2 of my cases and ordered what they needed and called the ambulance service to get one patient discharged to a Skilled nursing facility. Monica always steps in and is the true definition of a Team Leader. She never has an attitude although she's busy herself. I honestly will stay part of the Ascension Health family because of the awesome people I work with.
