Joe is always generous in sharing his knowledge with everyone on the unit. He is always available to answer questions or assist co-workers with new procedures. Joe supports the I-CARE values daily. Joe is always willing to help out the entire healthcare team. He takes charge when needed and supports his other co-workers. He is always hands-on with patient care, and will offer to break others out after long cases or even for lunches. He will also assist in other departments when needed.
Joe serves as a great resource for novice nurses. He always offers his experiences and support. He not only is there for them as a preceptor but after they come off orientation as well. He is very knowledgeable and takes the time to make sure they not only understand the information being presented but feel comfortable with it as well. Joe always utilizes best practices. He stays up to date with current evidence-based practice and brings back his findings to the monthly unit-based council meetings. Joe is always respectful towards patients and their family members, as well as his co-workers.
