I thank Janelle George for her extraordinary patient care. Janelle noted skin excoriation from her patient's incontinence. Janelle, after noticing the possible skin breakdown, went all over the hospital to look for a moisture barrier for the patient. She also looked for inter-dry for her patient. When Janelle was giving the bedside report, she knew her patient from their head to their smallest toe. This demonstrated how thorough she assessed her patient and how she took initiative from her findings. Due to Janelle’s interventions, I noticed improved skin color and less erythema overnight.
