Laura always maintains a sense of calm, caring assertiveness that inspires her coworkers, and is evidenced by her ability to tackle issues big and small with ease. Her leadership style still inspires confidence in her colleagues and highlights her strengths as a mentor and coach with those she interacts with. Her open-mindedness and use of effective communication have helped foster an environment for opportunity, growth, and progress on our unit.

Laura is a thinker, a problem solver, and is solutions-oriented. Whenever I have posed a problem or suggestion to Laura, she absorbs the information, brainstorms solutions, and mobilizes resources. At any point in her process, she includes others at every step so that there’s a sense of cohesiveness and ownership from all.

She’s an incredible advocate for her staff, as she is oftentimes hands-on at the bedside providing care and providing individualized coaching to those where appropriate. Laura is a leader who leads by example with her professionalism and commitment.

Laura is a Rockstar. The unit would not be the same without her. She is a wonderful example of what it takes to be a great nurse leader. I appreciate how she listens to every concern to ensure every need is met on the floor. Our success as a unit is a true testament to her dedication as an awesome nursing leader. We love Laura!
