He partnered with me and demonstrated total engagement and ownership of this endeavor.
As an Operational Director, I plan to develop and organize many initiatives to achieve our Deaconess and MultiCare goals. However, it takes more than one person to attain goals and achieve success. I recently opened a Discharge Center at Deaconess to positively impact our LOS and improve patient flow for patients awaiting an inpatient bed at Deaconess. As with previous initiatives I have worked on Jason immediately jumped in and fully supported, not only me but other leaders and staff.

He partnered with me and demonstrated total engagement and ownership of this endeavor. This is important as our mission of partnering is not only external facing, but internal facing for organizational success. Jason has gone above and beyond in spending much time on the Med/Surg units he oversees, collaborating, educating, and encouraging utilization of the Discharge Center. Changes can be slow to take hold, however, Jason can be credited for many of the arrivals who have come to the Discharge Center due to his support and commitment to his peers, his teams, our patients, and our system and hospital goals.

The reason for my nomination is that this is only one of many examples of Jason's total engagement and ownership. The attributes he consistently models demonstrate key leader characteristics for organizational success. Jason contributes to our successes every day and is the greatest partner I could ask for.
